In addition, free Thanksgiving meals will be offered at: St. Mary of the Visitation Church on 112 Military Street in Houlton from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (dine in and take out available); St. Catherine of Sienna Church on 32 Paris Street in Norway at noon (dine in and delivery available at 207-743-2606); and Most Holy Trinity Church on 271 Main Street in Saco from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (dine in, take out, and delivery available at 207-467-5357).

“For centuries, in times of peace and tension, prosperity and struggle, Americans have paused on Thanksgiving to spend time with loved ones and offer gratitude for the blessings of God,” said Bishop Deeley. “Remembering these gifts, which can often be taken for granted, leads to giving thanks to the source of all of those blessings: God, our Creator. Let us thank God for the many gifts offered through his love and mercy and pray that our hearts are always open to the concerns of others. May we always respond to those needs with kindness and humility.”
