Runs at Biddeford and Sanford Schools Raise Nearly $40,000 for Catholic Education

BIDDEFORD---Thanks to hundreds of registrants and two teams of tireless volunteers, annual fundraising road races in Biddeford and Sanford on November 5 were huge successes once again.

The St. James Trot for Catholic Education 5K and Fun Run at St. James School in Biddeford raised over $22,000, a new record and an increase of nearly $2,000 from 2021.

Meanwhile, the St. Thomas Mingle Jingle Run 5K raised over $16,000 for the second straight year at St. Thomas School in Sanford.

The funds from both races will help the schools continue to provide a top-notch Catholic education to each of its students.

“I can’t thank our students, staff, and race committee enough for their incredible efforts and dedication in ensuring this event continues to flourish and grow,” said Nancy Naimey, principal at St. James.

“The weather was perfect, our participants were amazing, and the joy was contagious!” said Ericka Sanborn of St. Thomas School. “What a phenomenal community we have!”
