SANFORD---In an effort to provide a night of community and music at the start of Lent, St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford will welcome Delmore Worship to Holy Family Church on Saturday, February 17.
The group will present a concert at the church, located on 66 North Avenue, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The performance is part of a Lenten night of worship, adoration, dynamic witness, reconciliation, and community. The event will follow the 4 p.m. Mass at the church.
Delmore Worship is a team of Catholic musicians serving primarily within the Archdiocese of Boston. The group regularly leads gatherings in a variety of settings including one-day events, Masses, retreats, and conferences.
Though the group was formally established in 2016, Delmore's talented musicians have been playing together for many years, providing musical experiences that lead others closer to Christ through worship and fellowship. Using music and liturgy, Delmore aims to help audience members, particularly young people, to enter into deeper relationships with Jesus and to form lasting faith-based communities.
Organizers encourage all to attend, including non-practicing Catholics and non-Catholics. There is no admission fee, but a freewill offering will be collected during the evening.
